At Glen Education, we are committed to creating environments where children can explore their creativity, connect with the world around them, and develop a strong sense of belonging.
Recently, the educators at Glen Mordialloc Kindergarten beautifully demonstrated these values during a visit to the National Gallery of Australia over the school holidays, where they encountered Jackson Pollock’s iconic artwork, Blue Poles.
Inspired by the boldness and abstract beauty of the piece, the educators shared Pollock’s work and its story with the children, sparking a meaningful art experience. The children went on to create their own abstract masterpieces using string, fully engaging with the concept of abstract art.
In the true spirit of community, the children decided to offer their artwork for a small donation, with the funds going toward an end-of-year celebration. This experience has not only sparked creativity but also taught the children about the value of art and the joy of giving back.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated educators at Glen Mordialloc for creating such a rich learning opportunity, one that nurtures both creativity and a sense of purpose in our young learners. Their initiative reflects Glen Education’s vision of empowering children to reach their full potential and aligns with our core values of connection, learning, and growth.
