Glen Education proudly held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 27th, bringing together members of our community to reflect on another significant year of growth, achievement, and impact across our organisation. The AGM provided an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of 2025, share insights into the organisation’s performance, and elect office bearers for the 2026 Board.
Attendees heard from David Willersdorf AM, Board Chair, CEO Samantha Kolasa, and General Manager Shared Services John Raciti, who reflected on Glen Education’s continued progress and achievements against the objectives of our Strategic Plan. The evening was also attended by members of Glen Education’s leadership team, led by General Manager Operations, Education and Pedagogy Melissa MacMaster, including Sally Maher, Engagement Manager, Janine Bird, Pedagogy Manager, Liz Washington Diversity Leader, and Rachael Gemmill, Senior Advisor.
Our 2025 Annual Report highlights a year defined by innovation, collaboration, and excellence in early childhood education. Across the year, Glen Education continued to strengthen outcomes for children, families, and communities through high-quality programs, sector leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key achievements included continued success against the National Quality Standards across our services, the expansion of programs designed to better support families and community needs, and the ongoing growth of our organisation through new partnerships and opportunities. We also continued to welcome sector leaders, stakeholders, and international visitors to share and learn from our inquiry-based approach to education and pedagogy.
Our leadership team remains highly regarded within the sector, regularly contributing to conferences, networks, advocacy forums, and stakeholder events to share knowledge, expertise, and innovative practice. We are incredibly proud of the influence Glen Education continues to have within early childhood education and remain committed to raising the bar for the benefit of children, families, educators, and the wider community.
During the evening, we also said goodbye to Krithika Hansen and Francesca Bianco as they stepped down from the Board, thanking them for their valuable contributions and commitment to Glen Education.
We acknowledged the outstanding work of Maxine Jacona in her role as Company Secretary and are pleased she will remain involved with Glen Education for a further term as a general member.
The Board also passed a special resolution appointing Gabrielle Hitch as Company Secretary.
