COVID Restrictions – Kindergarten will remain open

Dear Glen Education Families

As most of you will have heard, from 11.59pm tonight, Victoria will enter a seven day snap lockdown.

As stated by the Acting Premier, James Merlino – there will be five reasons to leave your home:

  • Shopping for essential goods or services;
  • Work or study if you can’t from home;
  • To get vaccinated
  • Seeking or giving care; and
  • For exercise for two hours per day with one other person

As also announced, childcare and kindergarten will remain open. Please be reminded that current COVID protocols will remain in place, as per our COVID safe plan. Of particular importance:

  • Masks must be worn at arrival and collection of your children – and whilst in the kindergarten environment
  • Temperatures of children will be taken on arrival
  • Please only send your child to kindergarten if they are well. Any children presenting with symptoms of illness will not be allowed to attend the program, or if these symptoms develop throughout the day, you will be required to collect your child immediately
  • Strict hand washing protocols will remain in place, including on arrival and departure
  • For the next seven days, children will not leave the kindergarten for excursions.

In light of the current situation, we will be deferring the timing of term 3 invoices.

We will keep you informed as and when we receive any updates.

Stay safe everyone.
