Caulfield Primary Kindergarten, located in the Glen Eira Council area, has been offering both 3YO and 4YO kindergarten, on the grounds of the Caulfield Primary School for many years. Operating from within a heritage building, the kindergarten is situated adjacent to Glen Huntly Rd and has its own access point for children and families. The kindergarten has two language teachers, as part of the Early Years Language Program (funded by the Department of Education and Training, or DET), who support children to learn Japanese. This complements the vision of the Primary School, which is a bilingual school. The kindergarten was assessed and rated as exceeding the National Standard in November 2018, demonstrating a strong commitment to Early Years Education.
The kindergarten was previously managed by another Early Years Manager (EYM), who recognised Glen Education’s local presence and reputation for exceptional quality programs as being what is best for the community moving forward into the future. We thank this EYM for their commitment to the Early Years Sector and their confidence in Glen Education.
While we have been discussing the idea of transitioning the Caulfield Primary Kindergarten to Glen Education, across several years, the community officially made the changeover to Glen Education’s management on the 20 December – in perfect time to prepare for the new year! We welcome members of the educational team to Glen Education and look forward to working in partnership with them to continue to deliver high quality services for children and their families. We also acknowledge DET’s ongoing financial commitment to sustaining the heritage building for the foreseeable future.
It is an exciting time for Glen Education as we support our 14th kindergarten to continue to deliver high-quality services to the community.
