1954 – 2024: Celebrating 70 Years of Edithvale Kindergarten: Weaving a Tapestry of Memories and Connection.

On a day blessed with Melbourne sunshine, local families and the Edithvale community came together to celebrate a remarkable milestone—70 years of Glen Edithvale Kindergarten. The gathering was more than an event, it was a celebration of generations, where memories intertwined, and new connections blossomed.  Past and present families, educators and friends, shared stories and reflected on the kindergarten’s history. Each conversation, each smile, felt like another thread woven into the rich fabric of our community.

The afternoon was filled with joy— groovy dancing, face painting, fairy floss, and the sound of children’s laughter as everyone joined in for a celebratory singalong and shared in the tradition of cutting the birthday cake.  With smiles all around, it was a day where multiple generations stood together, creating more memories to cherish, and celebrating the deep roots that continue to nurture the Edithvale community.

Heartfelt speeches by Glen Education CEO Samantha Kolasa and past committee member Aggie Chatz, reflected on the significance of Glen Edithvale Kindergarten’s journey. Glen Education is proud to have safeguarded the kindergarten’s future last year, bringing it into our family of services and ensuring that these connections continue to grow.

Glen Education would like to sincerely thank everyone for attending, and all those who helped make the evening a true success—Glen Education Management, Office and Leadership Team, Glen Edithvale Educational Team, Glen Edithvale Kindergarten Volunteer Parent Group and Families and finally the entertainment. It truly takes a village.

We remain committed to growing people and delivering quality programs that reflect our excellence in early learning.
