Hello Glen Education Community,
As you know, each year, we ask families and staff within our community, to consider donating to local people in need of support. Last year, we did this in partnership with Family Life, and collected many donations for food hampers.
This year, Family Life is again collecting goods, so they can support families that are doing it tough, by again collecting donations of food hampers, gift cards and toys.
A message from Family Life: “2021 has been another tough year for everyone, and in particular for vulnerable families and children. It is more important than ever for us to spread some Christmas joy and Family Life is committed to making this happen. To reduce handling in the COVID-19 environment, we are asking for individual toys and complete hampers. This will enable us to safely allocate complete packages to those in need.”

There will be a basket at the gate/door of the kindergarten, so you can leave your donation for us to collect and deliver to Family Life.
FOOD HAMPERS
Provide a complete hamper by filling a reusable shopping bag with a selection of these basic and seasonal food items:
- Pasta/rice/noodle Olive oil Cereal
- Long life milk Sweet/savoury biscuits Tea/coffee/milo
- Spreads (Vegemite, honey) Condiments (mustard/sauce) Muesli bars/snack bars
- Pasta sauce Stock/stock cubes Canned legumes
- Fruit cake/mince pies Gravox/gravy Canned vegetables
- Chocolates/lollies Chips/pretzels/popcorn Dried/canned fruit
- All items to be non-perishable and not expired.
TOYS & GIFTS
- Provide a toy or gift card $20-$50 or
- Age 0-24 Months: VTech Educational Toy Block Pack Walker Activity Table
- Age 2-4 Years: Cooking Play Set Craft/Activity Sets Pets Alive Duplo
- Age 5-7 Years: Lego Crayola/Craft Sets Board Games Fur Real Pet
- Age 8 Years+: Board Game Science / Building Kit Sports Equipment Remote Control Pet / Car
- Adults: Multi-Retailer Gift Card from Woolies / Coles / Aldi etc
Please leave all donations at the kindergarten by Friday 26 November, so we can deliver them to Family Life for distribution.
