At Glen Education, we put great emphasis on providing children opportunities for long unstructured, open-ended play.
Our educators facilitate this by setting out intentional resources that will allow children to use stretch their imagination and use the resources in any way they choose. We respect children’s play as this is how they make sense of the world around them. Our program is based on an emergent curriculum– the program is constantly emerging and changing based on what the children are interested in. Our educators try not to interrupt their play, observing children on how and what they play with.
We employ this approach in conjunction with conversations with the children to design their learning environments.
