We take play seriously at Glen Education because while they play, children are actually developing their resilience, confidence, communication, social and cognitive skills. They are learning early numeracy, spatial awareness and strengthening their hand-eye coordination. If they are building a tower that keeps falling over, they may need to figure out different ways to problem-solve to find a solution.
Through this process of using open-ended materials, they learn to persevere, be creative and develop confidence in their abilities to tackle future challenges. They engage in conversation, share ideas and learn to work together to complete their creations.
